Rummage Sale – Donation Drop-Off Day

Event 2: Box Delivery to Savers
” Date & Time: Sunday, October 5, 2025, at 1:30 PM
” Meeting Point: Church of the Good Shepherd parking lot
” Plan: Parents and Scouts will load the packed boxes into cars and drive together to Savers Thrift Store (13067 Fair Lakes Shopping Center, Fairfax, VA 22033) to unload. Large vehicles like vans, SUVs, and pickups are especially helpful for transport.
Donations from Troop Families
We are also collecting donations from Troop families to add to the Savers delivery. Savers is especially interested in:
” Clothes: mens, womens, and childrens clothes, coats, shoes, scarves, handbags, wallets, backpacks, belts, accessories
” Household Textiles: bedding, blankets, sheets, towels, tablecloths, curtains, pillows, comforters, etc.
Please gather clothes and textiles in bags. All items should be clean and in sellable condition.
How Parents Can Help
” Bring large, empty boxes and other packing supplies (duct tape, trash bags, packing paper) to Tuesday Troop meetings
” Sign up to volunteer and drive (large vehicles especially helpful)
” Assist on both dates: Sept 28 for clean-up and Oct 5 for delivery
